Code of Conduct

§1 - Recruitment
(i) The captain of a hovercraft can recruit on his/her own without asking permission. It doesn't need to be mentioned that the goals of the VL are explained and a - at least- brief history of the VL and OV is told. It is desireable that the official recruitment is done in faction-wide public.
(ii) A matrix drop is sent to all captains and firstmates stating that a new recruit has been taken onboard (or booted with a short (!) summary of the reasons). The captains and firstmates in turn forward the mail to their crewmen.
(iii) Additionally, a note will be made to a file on the faction's network hub.
§2 - Leadership
(i) Captains may choose their own course but may be called to explain to a council if faction goals are concerned.
(ii) A council can be called by every captain or the stand-in of all rank 1 and 2 ships. A council is competent when the majority of ships in the fleet are represented. Half of the representatives must be captains.
(iii) The faction leader has casting vote privilege. Other than that, the voice counts as that of any other captain.
§3 - Uniform
(i) The faction does not impose wearing a faction uniform on its members.
(ii) The faction has chosen white clothes as the preferably dress code for official occasions.
